Many young people are wondering whether God is calling them to set aside time to serve him but are unsure how to do that. At the same time there are churches that need to catch a vision of enabling young people to serve in various ways e.g in evangelistic teams etc…

Y Gorlan (The Sheepfold) started as an outreach to the Welsh speaking young people on the camping site at the National Eisteddfod in 1984. It was led by an ad hoc group of young Christians. It saw substantial growth until the early ninties, and then there was a three year gap because it faced a lack of workers and leaders. The Gorlan was re-launched in 1997 with a new generation of leaders and workers, and that under the Evangelical Alliance Wales’ Youth Forum.
At the moment a strong team of young workers are running the Gorlan. The Gorlan team’s commitment and perseverance over the last five years has been a strong witness to the gospel.
